What's a Veterinary Technician?
A veterinary technician is a nurse. They are in charge of setting up rooms for patients so the doctors can see them. They prepare tests such as fecals, bloodwork, EKGs, and many other things. They also perform tasks such as nail clippings, ear cleanings and anal gland expression.  During each and every visit you have with us, you will be greeted and escorted to a room by a technician. Sometimes, they are the only staff you will see in the exam rooms, depending on the type of appointment you've requested. They are trained to know a lot about animals to better help you keep your pet healthy. Technicians play a very important role in our office, and we are greatful to have them.
Current posistions available:

If you are interested in any of the positions, please pick up an application at our office. We do not have applications available online yet, so it is preferable to bring a completed application in person and ask for Stacy. Please do not fax or e-mail applications. There is a chance we may overlook.
What's a Veterinary Assistant?
A veterinary assistant plays an important role in helping both the technicians and the doctors. Assistants take charge of the kennel, preparing exam rooms for the next appointment, receiving shipments, and assisting in the treatment and exam rooms upon the technician or doctors request. The job requires an assistant to get dirty at times.  However, it is quite rewarding when you are able to care for and give comfort to a sick animal.
