Lou ~
I have extensive past work experience in public service in outdoor recreation, (Florida Park Ranger/Park Law Enforcement, Marina Manager and U.S.C.G licensed Inshore Charter Captain). I helped Dr. Bartos build Halifax Veterinary Center in 1990 and started as Practice Manager in 1991.  Over the past seventeen years I have received intensive traing in Veterinary Management and Administration and will soon receive my certification as a corporate trainer from Wise International.  Dr. Bartos and I have been married for 33 years and have a 23 year old son and a 13 year old daughter.  Outside interests include inshore fishing, (my daughter says it is more of an obsession), boating and kayaking.

Marylou ~

As a fifteen year old, I was already interested in the veterinary field and was lucky to start working at a veterinary practice in Indianapolis as a weekend kennel person. By the time I was 19, I had worked at Shadeland Animal Hospital for 4 years and had performed every job from kennel person to surgery assistant, lab technician and receptionist. I moved to Daytona Beach in 1972. I was lucky to be hired by Dr. Rawls, Jr. and worked for him for 13 years. I first met Dr. Bartos while she was an associate of Dr. Rawls. When she decided to begin her own practice in 1990, I was thrilled to be part of a new practice. I have been part of the Halifax Veterinary family for going on 20 years and hopefully for many years to come.

Stacy ~

I am a Florida native who has wanted to work with animals my whole life.  My dream came true in 1995, when I started working for a veterinarian with a boarding kennel.  I quickly worked my way up and a became a veterinary assistant to the veterinarian.  In 1997, I came to work for Dr. Bartos and HVC.  I love my job, our clients and our patients.  I have formed many bonds over the years with our clients and patients and for that reason, I could never work anywhere else.  I live locally with my three children, three dogs and four cats and my wonderfully patient and loving husband of 20 years.  All of my free time is consumed with school, being a dance mom and football Saturdays!  If you ever have any concerns or comments about your experiences with HVC, please email me at stacy@halifaxvetcenter.com.  My goal is for you and your pet to have a wonderful experience in our hospital.

Kathy
~
My name is Kathy and I am presently the assistant practice manager. My husband, son and our dog Chance moved from Valparaiso, Indiana to Port Orange in 1997. Our Chance quickly became a client at HVC and I was fortunate to begin my career in 2002 as a receptionist at Halifax Vet Center. Our son now lives in Boston and Chance is in Doggy Heaven and we have a new addition, our shorkie Isaac. As a graduate of WVU, born and raised in Pittsburgh,I love Steeler and Mountaineer football. Having had a career in teaching and in the dental field, I now enjoy working with a great team and all the pets and owners who come to Halifax Veterinary Center.
